We start with a full 1000ml of Lactated Ringers (electrolyte fluid) to replenish fluids and important electrolytes in the body. With dehydration, the brain tissue shrinks, pulling it away from the skull. This increases pressure on the nerves and causes pain. Especially in the dry climate of Arizona, hydration is key to preventing and treating migraines.
Our Migraine Blend contains Zinc, Magnesium, Vit B12, B-Complex, Vitamin C, and Glutathione.
- Zinc, Vitamin C, and Glutathione: all have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain throughout the body, including in the brain.
- B vitamins, especially B2 (in Vitamin B-Complex): have been shown in many studies to help prevent and reduce the severity of migraine symptoms.
One of the most important components of our Migraine Blend is Magnesium. Studies show that up to 50% of Americans are Magnesium deficient due to poor dietary habits, alcohol consumption, and certain health issues. Magnesium is an activating enzyme in the body that aids in proper nerve transmission.
